Many people live alone today. Based on a study in 2012, more people live alone than in family. The new size of household urges the need for smaller space. This project is a response to these new living conditions by dividing a single family house to more houses. The house appears to be one house but it is three houses within the house.
This project is an investigation on the relationship between parts to whole. It is about an object that is consists of different parts but appears as a whole. In contrasts to Stan Allen that defines field such that the identity of each part is respected while the relationship between the parts can be changed, then the object is defined such that the identity of each part is dependent on the identity of the whole. There are two set of relationships. The first set of relationships are defined internally where one part is the negative of another part. Almost as if the stairs and floors are the defining edges where the object is broken down.
